Aging Parents and Elder Care
Caring for an aging parent, elderly spouse, domestic partner or close friend presents difficult challenges – especially when a
crisis hits and you are suddenly faced with the responsibilities of elder care. Perhaps your aging mother has fallen, is hospitalized
with a broken hip and needs to go to a rehab facility or nursing home to recover.
The Ohio Assisted Living Association (OALA) represents the largest number of assisted living communities of any organization in the state. Representing 330 Ohio communities, we are a strong voice on all issues affecting assisted living. Our mission is to promote the continued growth of quality assisted living in Ohio, and to ensure its place as an integral part of the long-term care continuum.
The Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging provides in-home services, resources and education to support older adult independence, choice and dignity.
The Franklin County Office on Aging is primarily responsible for planning and coordinating services and programs that assist older citizens in the maintenance of independent living.
