Through good economic times and bad, Methodist ElderCare Services has been a constant in providing quality housing, health care and services to seniors in a Christian community setting since 1969. Wesley Glen celebrated 40 years of ministry to older adults in December 2009.

To culminate the celebration, a banquet was held in the Longsworth Auditorium and the individuals and entities that helped to make up the fabric of Wesley Glen Retirement Community were honored.

In addition to the celebration of the 40th anniversary, there are many other accolades for Wesley Glen. The Health Center received a "5 Star Rating" from the Ohio Department of Health, which included the highest rating within a 50 mile radius. In November 2009 issue of the Columbus C.E.O. Magazine, The Best of Business Award, and Wesley Glen received "The Best Retirement Community" in central Ohio by the magazine readers!

Also, Wesley Glen received an EAGLE accreditation from the United Methodist Association of Health and Welfare Ministries. The accreditation is widely regarded as the "seal of approval".

Another test of quality is the yearly evaluation of each retirement community by the Ohio Department of Health. The Assisted Living and Special Care areas at Wesley Glen have received the rating of "zero deficiency" in 2009, which is the highest rating possible.
