Capital Campaigns

Wesley Woods at New Albany – Opening mid 2017

A capital campaign for the first phase of construction is in progress. Phase one includes eight villa-style residences, a 10-unit hospice center set in the woods and a three-story building with assisted living, independent apartments, a unit for those with memory loss and a one-story nursing home wing.

Wesley Woods will open mid 2017. Future phases could add up to 24 villas.

"People living at their best includes a full continuum of care, focusing on mind, body and spirit. Our mission is to provide the highest quality of care, and we are excited to be part of the first class living that New Albany offers."

The Increasing Need for Continuing Care Communities

In 2015, The Columbus Foundation and Osteopathic Heritage Foundation commissioned a study from the Kirwan Institute at The Ohio State University to look at “Meeting the Challenges of an Aging Population with Success” in central Ohio.

Study findings indicated that there will be a 94% increase in Franklin County’s 65-and-over population by 2040 – from 115,706 seniors in 2010 to nearly 225,000 by year 2040. Methodist ElderCare is on the forefront of providing the needed services to this ever growing population in central Ohio.
The Office of Disability, Aging, and Long-Term Care for the US Department of Health and Human Services recently released a research analysis study that specifically noted the following about residents living in a Continuing Care Retirement Community:
  • Live longer and are healthier
  • Promote active lifestyles
  • Support social involvement
  • Ensure proper medical care
  • Provide good nutrition
  • Encourage overall wellness
  • Benefit younger seniors
Methodist ElderCare Services is committed to serving the senior population in central Ohio through all stages of their retirement years with dignity and compassionate care.

Your Help is Critical to Our Mission

The Development Office will work with friends, supporters and New Albany residents to successfully complete the ambitious fundraising goal of $2,000,000.

The campaign supports the new Wesley Woods campus that brings together well-appointed homes, a continuum of health services and luxury amenities.
